The Season of Gratitude

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, it is no surprise that gratitude posts are popping up all around Facebook, Twitter and the blog world. Today in honor of the season, I'm sharing the top things I'm grateful for this year.

I'm grateful for my work. I am so happy I can work from home and that I have some great clients that I can help. I am also grateful for continuing opportunities for new work.

I'm grateful for my boyfriend. We've some ups and downs this year and he's stuck with me through everything, proving he will always be there for me no matter what.

I'm grateful for my parents. They let me live at home right now to save money and are always there for me.

I'm grateful for my friends. I have some wonderful friends that always give good advice, make me laugh and make me feel like I have a second family.

I'm grateful for my new found dedication to more healthy eating and exercise.

What are you grateful for?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Things I'm Thankful For...

So of course since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I have to do the cliche "What I'm Thankful For" blog post! :) So here's a list...

1. Graduation quickly approaching. I am so happy that I made it through and I will be done with classes and moving on. I'm also very excited for a grad party! :)

2. New opportunities after I graduate!

3. My boy because he is always sweet and there for me and I love him more each day.

4. My friends and family because as I get older, I learned quality over quantity.

5. Blogging! I just love it and all of you. :)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Be Grateful

One of my biggest pet peeves is dealing with those people who think they should get whatever they want, whenever they want at the cost of others. And then never even say thank you. I've dealt with this a lot lately with babysitting my cousins. One of the girls throws a huge fit if her sister and I do not want to do what she wants to do. She wants me to buy her everything and she never once says a simple, "Thanks". I constantly yell that the world does not revolve around her and it never gets through. The worst part is... she's only 7 years old. How much worse will it get?

Another thing is watching those relationships where the girl expects the guy to be at her beckon call 24/7, buy her everything her heart desires, and she never acts like she is grateful. I can't imagine treating someone this way. I'll never say that I am a perfect girlfriend but I think part of being a good one is not being so controlling, always saying thank you and please and being appreciate to whatever your boy buys you or does for you, and offering to pay your way every once in a while too.

So whether you are 7 years old or 20 or 90... remember to thank those around you. Be appreciative and give back to the people who do nice things for you. People will be happy you do.
