Today's tune is one of my favorite Coldplay songs. They played it in the new "The Amazing Spiderman" movie I saw last night and it reminded me how much I loved the song. (Review of movie to come!)

Last week, I got invited to a birthday party at a bar where this band was playing. I had never heard of them before, but they ended up being amazing! Tell me what you think! I haven't found a song of theirs I don't like yet and this one is especially catchy.

I've been playing this song nonstop lately. It is just so catchy and easy to sing along to. It also really reminds me of a past relationship and definitely would have been a past breakup anthem.

The video is rather strange though. Also, Glee did a really good version of it with Blaine and his brother, Cooper (guest Matt Bomer). I'll leave you with both versions to rock out to!

I've decided to start a new series on my blog (perhaps there will be more to come, but I love sharing music with you all!). Each Tuesday I will share with you a song or two that I've been jamming to lately. Enjoy and let me know what you think in the comments! Or recommend some similar music. :)

The first video is "Cough Syrup" by Young the Giant. I first heard this song performed on "Glee" so I looked up the original version. I just love this guy's voice!


The next video is "Shake it Out" by Florence + The Machines. I heard this one on "How I Met Your Mother" and loved it. She's an amazing singer.

We Are Young!

Once again, this post is inspired by Glee. Last night was Sectionals and the other main story was focusing on doing the right thing and enjoying being young. I've been thinking about that lately: how much I enjoy being young. When I was younger, all I could think of was getting to the next grade, graduating, then getting a job. Now, I still don't have all the answers, but I am on my way. But at times, I focus too much on work or just sitting at home than having fun but I've been trying to go out and hang with friends more this year.

I think we all try to grow up too fast. We want to graduate high school so quickly and then college and then be on our own and we realize we missed out on some of the fun parts of just being a kid. So now's your chance. It doesn't matter how old you are, you're still young. You're healthy, you're fun and you have the chance to enjoy your life. Start today!

The Muppets are Back!

Today I am bringing you a sneak peak of the new "The Muppets" movie! I am so excited to see this! I used to wait all week to watch "The Muppets Show" and I can't wait for the new one to come out. Anyone else with me?
